The Projects
The purpose of the Cape Fear Scottish Immigration Memorial Fund is to develop and promote Scottish heritage throughout the Cape Fear region and the State of North Carolina. Our initial objective was to sponsor and fund a Scottish Immigration Memorial in the Cape Fear.

With the completion of Memorial, we turn our focus to the North Carolina Scottish Trek. The Trek will be available as an interactive Story Map, with memorial plaques posted at locations of Scottish-American significance from the Cape Fear and up into the mountains, celebrating all of North Carolina's Scottish immigrants.

While the primary purpose of the memorial is to acknowledge the contributions of the Scots, the Celtic culture represented by the memorial is celebrated in many countries around the world, including Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany, Galicia, Portugal, and the Celtic Diaspora around the world.

The Fund provides both technical and informational expertise to support other organizations or municipalities interested in establishing their own Scottish Heritage programs.
